I have a PhD in art history from Bryn Mawr College and several years experience teaching at the University of Nebraska. Art and history should be fascinating subjects, but all too often people find them dull or intimidating.

Historical fiction is a great way to learn about art and history. Saturn's Apprentice gives my novelist's view of Leonardo da Vinci and Renaissance Florence.
